For each and every service Schotpoort Logistics delivers,  Schotpoort Logistics conducts checks regarding the safety and protection of data as well as regarding compliance with laws and regulations related to data protection.

Schotpoort Logistics makes use of cookies which are vital for the functioning of our website. Additionally we make use of functional cookies to make our website more pleasant for you – our visitor –  and ensure that you have a more personalized  browsing experience. These functional cookies are as follows:

1) Cookies to enable social buttons: on our website we integrated buttons of several social website. By using these buttons, you can easily share our blog articles, job vacancies and other articles on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. The buttons are controlled by social media cookies that are installed by the social media parties, so they are able to recognize you when you would like to share an article, vacancy or blog article. When do we collect personal details?
We collect details from the moment you use our contact form, when you make use of our services (e.g. transport & warehousing) or from the moment you fill in personal details in order to apply for a job.

Why do we collect personal details?
The personal details which we collect through our website are only used for the goals for which they have been provided. For example: we will only use your personal data for replying on the contact form if you filled in our contact form.

The legal grounds on which we base the processing of your personal details
We  base the processing of your personal data on several legal grounds. A large amount of the personal data from you that we process, we process because processing the information is necessary for the performance of a contract (GDPR article 6 sub b).

Additionally, there are situations in which we may require additional details, such as a copy of your ID, for example when you request one of our services or when you become part of the Schotpoort Logistics workforce.

What personal details do we collect?
Through our website we only collect the personal details that you provide to us. The most important personal details and documents with personal details therein we collect are as follows:

• C.V. motivational letters, and details therein;
• Eventually: internship grades and ratings;
• List of marks;
• The type of function you’re applying for;

Sensitive personal data
We will only process sensitive personal data when we require to do so in order to be able to fulfil legal obligations, when this is required or allowed by law, or in case we have your explicit consent. Sensitive personal data are amongst others, data regarding race, health and religion.|

How long do we save the personal data gathered via our website?
First off, you can always send us a request to delete the personal data you have provided.
When you do not send us a message, we do not safe your data longer than required in order to deliver a service, or no longer than a service relationship is in place between you and Schotpoort Logistics.

If you applied for a job at Schotpoort Logistics, your personal data will be removed after you’ve asked us to do so, or four weeks after the application process has ended. Unless you have authorized Schotpoort Logistics to keep your personal data for a longer amount of time after the application process has ended. You can withdraw the authorization at any given moment by sending an e-mail to info@schotpoortlogistics.eu.

How do we keep your personal data secure?
Schotpoort Logistics believes your privacy is of utmost importance. Therefore we take several measures in order to prevent loss, theft or otherwise illegitimate use of your personal data. Where necessary we make use of secure connections. Additionally we have several measures in place in order to protect your data physically and online.

Who receives your personal data?
Schotpoort Logistics receives your personal data. Schotpoort Logistics will not sell your personal data under any circumstance. Additionally, Schotpoort Logistics will only provide your personal data to third parties when Schotpoort Logistics is obliged contractually, by law, or when this is necessary in order to execute or draw attention to our services.

Can I submit a request to view, change, or delete the personal data Schotpoort Logistics has collected about me?
It is possible to file a request for inspection of the personal data Schotpoort Logistics has collected about you through the website. You can do this by sending an e-mail to info@schotpoortlogistics.eu. In order not to provide personal data to the wrong person, we require you to send us a copy of your ID (on which you can make your BSN and picture invisible) in order to verify your identity. Schotpoort Logistics will react to your request for inspection within a month after you have filed the request.
You can submit a request to correct or delete your personal data. If you feel that we do not handle your personal details with care, feel free to contact us via the aforementioned contact details. Additionally you have the right to file a complaint with the competent authority.

Objection against the processing of personal data by Schotpoort Logistics
It is possible to object against the processing of your personal data by Schotpoort Logistics, if your personal data are used for other means than executing an agreement, providing a service, or legal obligation. For example, you can object against the use of your personal details for marketing- and/or sales activities. You can do so by sending an e-mail to info@schotpoortlogistics.eu. Additionally you have the right of data transmission. This means that you have the right to request and receive the personal data Schotpoort Logistics has of you clearly listed.  You can send an e-mail to info@schotpoortlogistics.eu if you would like to receive the information we have of you listed clearly.
In the case you have objections against the processing of personal data which are necessary in order to execute our activities and services, we attach importance to the fact that, without some personal data, it’s not possible to fulfil our services and process your request or application.

Data security & breach reporting
In case of a data breach Schotpoort Logistics will inform you in a correct and timely manner, at the latest 48 hours after the data breach has become known to Schotpoort Logistics. In case of a severe data breach, the data controller needs to report this to the competent authority. In order to determine the severity of a data breach, Schotpoort Logistics uses the GDPR and the policyrules “meldplicht datalekken” as a guideline.
